So why does a Carbon Cloth pass through a low resolution mesh collider, i.e with big triangles in it?
Most likely you do not have enough Subdivisions in your Carbon Simulation settings to allow Carbon Collision to handle the situation.
For example here is a cloth colliding with a very large mesh triangle collider.
With 100 Carbon Simulation Subdivisions it collides beautifully ..

But with only 10 Carbon Simulation Subdivisions the cloth corner passes through the floor (see white arrow) and that's the end of this sim.

Note the cloth and collider here are only 1mm thick.
The number of subdivisions required will depend on many factors, including, speed of the relative motion between cloth and collider, the nature of collision - here a corner collision is worst case, cloth and collider mesh resolution and potentially cloth and collider thickness. One other factor is the FPS, as the Subdivisions is per frame, so double the FPS and halve the Subdivisions!
