Hi Aqualonix,

We do not limit the Carbon cache size, so I am not sure what is limiting the number of frames you can view.
Maybe you can explain your situation in a bit more detail, with a video if that would help us to help you.

Kind regards,
Admin

There are certain amount of frames that I can view at once in the dopnet. So lets say after the first 300 frames, I cant see the frame 1 and so on...
In the vellum sim you can find the setting "Cache memory", it allows to increase numbers of frames that can be held in memory so I can view more frames the in the bigger range.

Hi aqualonix,

The dopnet cache is controlled by the dopnet itself. Carbon does not control that.
If you want to increase the cache size, you can just change the setting on the dopnet.
It is quite easy to do. Just go to the dopnet parameters and into the "Cache" tab:

Here, you can change the cache size, and if you want, you can also allow caching to disk as an emergency safety.
Caching to disk will be slower, but it might be a better option than losing frames during a long simulation.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Sebastian
