The Carbon license server has a vast array of configuration options to allow studios to control UI and batch license usage, including:
Allow/deny specific clients from using the license server by user /host/ ip address and selectable by license feature such as UI or Batch
Limit the number of licenses (by feature) that can be used by user/host/ip address
All these features are explained and configurable in the lmx-serv.cfg file that comes as part of the license server package

In addition, Carbon offers a simple environment variable NUMERION_FARM_UI_LICENSE that can also be used on the server machines to block their use of UI licenses.
